Humid Heat Test, cyclical

This test simulates the thermal stress on the component due to cyclic temperature changes at high humidity during operation. It is used to ensure the resistance of the component to moist heat. The damp heat test can be performed either with or without frost. These tests are performed in climatic chambers in which the test specimens are placed. Basic test standards are DIN EN 60068-2-30 and DIN EN 60068-2-38 as well as ISO 16750-4. In the automotive standards LV124, VW 80000, GS 95024-3-1 and MBN 10306 this test is known as K-08 and K-09.
