Why temperature and climate tests

The purpose of the temperature tests is to assess the suitability of the product for use at high and low temperatures. A temperature test is used to simulate the limits of the application area during transport, storage and operation.
Thermal shock test:
This test simulates the thermal stress on the product and the component through shock-like temperature changes. This serves to protect the component against thermally caused defects, e.g. cracking in soldering. Adhesive, bonding and welding connections as well as on seals and housings.
Temperature change test:
The temperature change test with a specified rate of change is used to protect components and products against sensitivity to changing ambient temperatures. The temperature changes expected in the product life cycle (e.g. day/night, summer/winter) are usually simulated.
